Blue Fern Studios January Sketch Challenge

Hello my lovely friends :)
I am back with you today to share with you the January Sketch for Blue Fern Studios. I have been so excited about this new venture for me and can't wait to share my projects.
First up is the sketch

Its such a gorgeous sketch and open to lots of interpretation.
Here is my example...
"Laughter"

I have used some paper from the new and gorgeous Sanctuary range and teamed it up with using the Notebook Edges chipboard, the word Laughter from the Laughter Happy Smile pack and a beautiful Tattered Butterfly. All chipboard pieces have been given a coat of Gesso and them painted lightly with some mist.

One lucky winner, selected by a random draw, will receive a prize package of Blue Fern Studios chipboard!

In addition, we will also select 3 layouts to feature.

We have just a few simple rules to follow if you would like to participate in our sketch challenge:

1.) Feel free to interpret the sketch as you please by means of taking it as-is or

flipping/turning/mirroring it to suit your needs!

2). Please note that you can do whatever type of project you please- a layout, card,

canvas, altered item- whatever suits your mood and style!

We would love to see the different ways our sketch can be used.

3.) You must use at least one piece of Blue Fern Studios chipboard OR use Blue Fern Studios paper on your project. Please note that you do not need to use the pieces featured in the sketch

- use whatever suits your fancy! You can find the store nearest you HERE.
{Do not use any other brand of chipboard on your project please!}

4.) Upload your project using the Inlinkz tool below by midnight EST on January 31, 2015

Happy New Year!!!!!

Wishing all my lovely crafty friends and followers the very best for 2015. May you know of much love, laughter, health and happiness.

It was another huge year with lots of highs mixed with lots of lows but with it all comes a chance to learn and grow and go forward. I love looking back over my crafty year and seeing what I created and how my style keeps evolving.

Here are 10 of my favorites in no particular order :)))

Can't wait to see what 2015 holds for me and the scrappy crafty world...wonder what trends will stay and what will be new :))

Christmas Gift Bag

Hi there everyone,

We are so close now till the man in red arrives, I know I have 3 little excited boys in my house that are counting down the hours!!

So here is something a little festive for you.

I had this brown paper bag in my pile of "things to be altered" so I decided to create a sweet little Christmas gift bag using lots of pretties from the Flying Unicorn Store.

I started off using some music sheet paper which I had in my stash and then I placed stripes of layers using Websters Paper A Christmas Story range as well as some gorgeous lace. I then scrapped some Gesso over the top using an old credit card.

Next I added some plasters mesh and then randomly sprayed some 13 Arts Chalk Mist in Light Blue

Oh I love this gorgeous effect. So full of texture!

Now I pile on more paper layers and lots of pretty flowers and chipboard. I have layered 2 different frames both from Leaky Shed Studios. A beautiful mix of Prima and Petaloo flowers...those red flowers are seriously gorgeous!
