Blue Fern Studios February Sketch

Hi my crafty friends :)

Just popping by with my DT project for the Blue Fern Studios February Sketch created by our sketch designer, Michele Singh.  Since this is known as the month of LOVE, Michele has created a romantic sketch for you to work with, complete with a heart.  Of course your project doesn't need to be love-themed --- you can interpret our sketch any way you'd like.

And my interpretation of the sketch using the gorgeous papers from the Ombre and Montage Collections as well as lots of fun chipboard.

A fun layout for a fun photo :) I have used lots of gorgeous chipboard which all have been Gessoed first and then I have used a combination of Distress Inks, Shimmerz Paints and Glimmer Glaze to highlight the shapes...

Chipboard pieces include circles from the Nested Circle set, Mini Ring Things set and a piece from the Romantic Page Dangle set.

I have also used a heart with a cute flower from the Electic Hearts set.

Flying Unicorn January KOM Project

Back again today to share with you another project from the January KOM from Flying Unicorn which has all sold out.

"Delight"

The kit and addons came with lots of gorgeous chipboard frames a Melissa Frances frame and some clear frames, so I chose to centre my design around that.

Beautiful Petaloo flowers came in the kit as well.  The Prima flowers are from my own collection.

The background colour is some Inklingz "Blue My Mind"....such a stunning colour mixed with gold.

January Kit of the Month - Flying Unicorn

Hi everyone :)

Just sharing a couple of projects I did using the gorgeous January KOM from Flying Unicorn (which has all sold out) as well as their kit addons.

Now I haven't worked with a kit for sometime but oh boy this kit was amazing...what a great kit to start the year off.  Its jammed packed with loads of mixed media products and feel so lucky to have a chance to play with products I probably wouldn't normally have a chance to.

"Adorable"

I loved the Prima Heart Pin Wheel Stencil...was so cool to use. I have also used some Prima Art Sugar in soft pink...oh so yummy and 13 Arts Pastel Turquoise mist.

My next project is a couple of mini canvas's.  Lots of details on these which you cannot see in the photos.  I have used the Prima Pearl Glass Glitter, Art Sugar, Wax Crayons and 13 Arts mists.

January Design Team Project for Blue Fern

Hello!

I am so excited to share with you my very first projects as a designer for Blue Fern Studios. I had so much fun and really enjoyed putting these together.

For this layout I used the Ombre Dreams: Gingers Dreams paper for my background.

I have used a couple of pieces of Graduated Circles...love these! I have tucked them in an around my layers behind my photo and covered them with mist and paint. The stunning La Plum chipboard piece was lightly painted and then dipped in glitter.

I have also used a piece from the Nested Circle pack, cut it in half and placed at the top and bottom sides of my layout.

Chipboard: Graduated Circles, Nested Circle, La Plume

For this layout I was drawn to the gorgeous vintage background of the Meadows of Time paper in the Sanctuary Collection.  But in my usual style I brightened things up!

I cut the bottom section off and turned it over to reveal the beautiful flower pattern that was on the reverse side.  I have used the Small Circle Flower Flourish as well as one of the Corner Flourish.  Down the bottom edge of my layout I have included one of the Arrow Words "Love This".

Hello everyone :)

We are excited to give you a sneak peek of our upcoming paper collection, Love Story.  

Created by Michele Singh, this collection is for anyone who is a romantic at heart or has a cherished love story to tell.  Various shades of pink, rose, and soft green are complimented by warm neutrals and rich blacks.  This collection brings beautifully framed pages, calling cards, love notes, images of nature and so much more! 

Looks so gorgeous and I can't wait to get it in the mail!
