Lots to share....

Hi there everyone,

Well its nearly time for us to pack the car and off we go...our beach holiday is just about here and we are all looking forward to our break away.  But before I leave I wanted to share with you all a few projects that I have done recently.

This layout was created for Manor House.  YESSSSS I have used pink on a boys layout but why not, the bright gorgeous colours really reflect their beautiful fun loving natures.  By adding in some black it really gives it a more masculine feel to it.  Papers are a mix of Pink Paislee, Sass and Hambly.

"So Loved"

Loving my fringe banners..

The layout below was created for this months challenge at Scrap for Help.  Its all about fabric this month and being in the banner mood last month I created a fabric banner with strips of fabric...I LOVE the look of this banner, will be doing that again for sure! Another layout that has pinky/purple colours, but hey my little man was wearing a purple shirt, so its all got to match...right!!!?? Using some older Sass papers, Studio Calico and Hambly.

"Precious Boy"

And lastly, a "just because" layout.  Still playing with some MME papers...I am a huge fan of MME. Had lots of fun with paints, Shimmerz products, embossing powders and TA glimmer glam.

A Moment to Treasure"

Okay I better keep going...lots of those last minute jobs still to do.  Thank so much for visiting...I will be back in about 3 or so weeks with loads of fresh inspiration to scrap!

Till next time...

Skissedilla Sketch #174

Hello to you all :)

Just quickly popping this up today as it closes very soon, running to time as per usual with things...lol! I am always keeping an eye on challenges here and there and this month I thought I would try out a new challenge (well new to me).

The Skissedilla Sketch #174, caught my eye straight away...love the white space, love the butterflies, love the circle and love the freedom to create a cool background! Awesome sketch for the creative mood I was in last week.

I have two little boys who LOVE Dinosaurs, one more so than the other, so when their grandparents gave them a talking dinosaur each, they were over the moon excited!!!

The background paper is some older Glitz paper and the the diecut behind the photo is an older Basic Grey doiley just ripped up.  I was in the mood for something simple, not too much in the way for fussy embellishments...loved the colours and how this turned out.

"Talking Dinos"

Had a little fun with this background, its a combination of Shimmerz Blingz, Embossing Powders for more of a dramatic effect, and the green masking is using some PanPastels.

Okay I better be off and get some things done, won't be long and it will be school pick up time!
Thanks for visiting and I hope to visit you all very soon :))

Oh and THANKS A MILLION for all your special words you left me on my last layout..it meant to much to me to hear from you.

Hello Spring!!

Well I am happy to see the first day of Spring! Such a beautiful time of year here in Central Queensland before it gets too hot and I am planning on making the most of it.  I have already jumped started into Spring cleaning mode and done a huge clean up of rooms from top to bottom...its such a good feeling.  Its also only a few more weeks till we have our 2 week family holiday at the Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast...oooh its getting exciting and we have already begun counting down the sleeps!

Anyway, last month I did a layout for Manor House which included a simple step x step on how I created my flower clusters and how I used the gorgeous rosette ribbon.  Details can be found HERE.

This layout is about one of my beautiful sisters.  The quote I have used "You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have", is the only way to describe what I see in her in a daily basis.  Her struggle, her loss is not a story that I will make public on the internet, but what she faces every day and the strength it takes to get through each day brings tears to my eyes and as a sister I so wish I could take her pain away.  Enough waffling.....

"Strong"

Using some new beautiful flowers from Manor House which I have misted and dabbed with Gesso.

Now on to something a little happier...a few weekends ago I did a little photo shoot of my boys...it had been so long since I did something like this and we just had an amazing time.  Now its given me the inspiration to get scrapping! Wish I could share all my photos with you but I won't bombard you with them all :))

awwww....love my boys and their black skinny jeans and boots!

We had loads of fun drawing with chalk on the road...

One thing I absolute love about where we live, is the diversity that surrounds us.  We are not only surrounded by huge coal mines, but also cattle farms, cotton farms, wheat farms, citrus farms, the Gem Fields are just out of town where you can search for precious gems, and this farm that the boys are overlooking.....a vineyard! Lots of vineyards around here too....So much beauty just in our backyard.

Such precious photos of my cute little boys...Finlay was so tired here he reckons he needed a rest!

Love those chalky pants on Riley...only happens when you have fun right!

Love love love this one...such a treasure :))

Okay I best be off and finish a layout I started the other day!

Thanks for visiting, your comments always give me a grin from ear to ear!

Just Because....

Hello all :))

Well with DH away this week on a deep sea fishing trip, I have scrapped up a storm! And what better way to start by doing a 'just because' page.  Is it me or is there anyone else, that tends to sit on papers for ages before using them...?? Not sure why...hmmmm...Anyway these gorgeous My Minds Eye papers have been sitting around for a while now begging me to use them...so I just decided to get stuck in and get creative, play around and experiment with the hexagon trend!

Got out the paints again as well as washi tape...loving them both all over again! And it you haven't worked it out by now my love affair with Shimmerz products.  There isn't a layout or project I don't do that hasn't got some Shimmerz on it. Their products are so versatile....love love love :))

Photo of my little boys enjoying camping at Easter time.

"Camping Buddies"

Outlining my hexagons with Shimmerz...and snuck in some gorgeous Hambly (hexagon overlay)...gosh I am going to miss them!

Found my little star punch again and love the scattered stars....

And dug through my Purple Pumpkin button stash and found this super cute owl button...

Off to do some more scrapping :))
Can't wait to have some yummy fresh reef fish over the weekend!!

Thanks for visiting!

All of my Dreams....

Hello to you all!
Back today to show you, as promised, another project I was so lucky to do last month using a Twiddleybitz Printer Tray, Manor House Creations flowers and The ScrapCake papers.

"All of my Dreams"

LOVE this colour combination and the ScrapCake papers, One Moment in Time, were perfect for lots of fussy cutting! I used the Tim Holtz film like ribbon and tucked and twirled to give it a dramatic effect.

The little brown flowers were altered with some gold glimmermist to add some extra depth. The tray and all the other chipboard pieces have been altered with lots of Shimmerz products.

Hope you all have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by :))

Happiness is....

Hello everyone,
Did you know that Manor House Creations and Twiddleybitz have teamed up this month! I was so lucky to be sent some gorgeous OTP chipboard projects from Twiddleybitz. The first project I did was using this gorgeous 3D Shadow Box.

So I transformed it into this.....

"Happiness"

I did my usual ripping/tearing/curling and had oodles of fun creating this cute little beach scene.  This photo was taken at Easter time while camping at the beach.  This place is seriously so beautiful and amazing, a real little bit of paradise.   This beach is privately owned...well sort of I guess...the owners (who we know) property backs right up to the beach and the public can't access it.  So the shells that were on this beach were truly amazing, fully intact and just beautiful...I think we collected a few buckets of shells while we were there.

Anyway, enough rambling...happiness is really just enjoying these little moments together...I have used loads and loads of Shimmerz products on this layout to give it a real beachy/sparkly feel. Photos just don't do it justice but you will get the idea I am sure :))

Beautiful Manor House flowers....

I am really into beads and sequences at the moment, so they were fun to add!

And look what we got on the weekend....a very cute little dog for the boys...awww...these photos melt my heart! Very good friends of ours are heading off for a trip around Australia and needed a new home for one of their dogs.  Mimi (named from previous owners) is just gorgeous, so well behaved and very good with children.  Haven't heard her bark once and she does lots of sleeping...hehe...so over the weekend she got loads of cuddles and smothered in attention from the boys...While Riley is at school, Finlay just sits outside with Mimi, talking to her and giving her lots of pats...a great little friend for him :))

Sorry this is such a long post!

Can't believe its August tomorrow...where is the year going!! Will be back to share another Twiddley project soon.

Thanks so much for visiting, your comments really keep me going :))

Have a great day!
