Happy Holidays to you all :))

Hello my dear friends :))

Well Christmas is nearly upon us and I have thoroughly been enjoying the first week of the holidays with both boys....we have had numerous play dates and catch ups with my girlfriends..oh how I love this time of year...Daddy has had some time off too and lots of swimming thrown in!

So before I sign off I wanted to share with you all my little super gorgeous Christmas Tree I created for Manor House Creations.

This is the first year in a very long time that we are staying home.  Because we always lived the farthest, we always travelled..but not this year...everyone is coming up to us!!! We are so excited to be hosting Christmas at home and I wanted to create something extra special for our Christmas table.  Further details on this can be found HERE.

Lots of gesso, texture paste, Shimmerz and misting going on here...:)))

And man I love those cute little snowflake chipboard pieces by Kaisercraft...

And how could I not finish off by adding in some super cute photos....

awww...so precious...

Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones...stay safe over the holiday period and enjoy some precious family time.

LIVE... LAUGH... LOVE...

Till next time...

Waiting for Santa....

WOW where is the time going...it wasn't that long a go that we said hello to the 1st of December and now its exactly 2 weeks till Christmas!! Eeeekk...

Well its last week of school for the year in our household and I got a little teary this morning thinking of my little boy finishing his first year of school....I mean how can that be...it was just the other day he was so excited to be starting 'big school'!!  I am so proud of how far he has come this year...he can read books all by himself, recognise and spell words, adds up and subtracts, understands the basic concept of science and much much more and I have to remind myself he is only 5!!!! I don't ever remember knowing all that at 5...he so deserves some down time, some fun and I am going to make sure that is exactly what we do.

Anyway, I wanted to share a recent layout I created for Manor House Creations.  I am so slack at getting Christmas photos scrapped, so this is one from last year.

'Waiting for Santa'

I have added so much texture to this layout...the gorgeous White Winter Song flower is fairly textured already but I have added some more texture paste for added interest.  Loving the little pops of red too....

Glittery thickers are just perfect Christmas layouts I reckon...and I so LOVE my silver scatter stars..

And I have been dying to use these stunning Christmas tress from Dusty Attic....lots of gesso, texture paste, Shimmerz Enamlz and some silver Shimmerz around the edges for a 3D effect.

And to finish this post off....here is a sneak peak at my December Daily...I am going for more of a mixed media feel to this mini and I am having so much fun!  A little behind as this week is super busy for me but hopefully next week when we are all on holidays I can catch up.

So what do you reckon...??? Want to see more??? LOL

Hope you are having a wonderful week and thank you so much for stopping by :))

Till next time...

Scrapbooking Memories Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to the Scrapbooking Memories Blog Hop! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by, I do hope you say hello :)))

I am excited to be joining in on the Scrapbooking Memories blog hop as my last project as a How-to: Advanced Columnist for Scrapbooking Memories  for this year....have you seen the fun take from the girls who have come before me on the hop ?

If you have been following along on the hop you would have seen there is a secret theme...have you guessed it yet?

So this is my take!

I created this canvas ages ago....like 6 months or so, but it just sat there and sat there.  I had everything on it bar the photo and some embellishments.  When I was asked to participate in this blog hop, I knew it was time to get it out and finish it off and I am so glad I did.  The gorgeous photo of my DH and my little boys taken on Fathers Day was perfect to finish it off.

"Cherish"

So I have added lots of closeups...they really don't show all the detail but I am sure you get the picture.  I LOVE the background paper from My Mind's Eye.  The shabby worn timber paling print was just perfect for me to rip and scrunch to give it a extra worn look.  Other papers include some Sass, Hambly Transparency.  The aqua bits that a poking out from around the edge is tissue paper. Lots of new and old Prima on this canvas as well.

Love those butterflies from Pink Paislee...as tempting as it was to colour them, I reckon they look beautiful just left as they are.

Lots of bandage gauze, and other fibres used as well.

AND here is my the key to my theme....can you guess what it is by reading this?  I found this quote on Pinterest and it was perfect for the task given to me. I printed it on a tag and it just sits behind the photo.

Make sure you pop back to the Scrapbooking Memories blog for handy hints and you can always have a guess while you’re at it!

So next along the way is the lovely and talented Lou Nelson!

Hope you have enjoyed the hop :))

Till next time...

Next I want to share a layout I created way back in October or was it September...anyway it was a while ago but only got shown on the Manor House blog recently.  I have been dying to share it as it is one of my favourites.

At the time I sat down to create this layout I had a mental block, you know how it is..I am sure you have all had them...frustrating aren't they! Well I decided to dig out an old layout and scraplift it! Why not...sometimes its just too hard to reinvent the wheel.  So I am going to share with you first the layout I did ages ago..could be 12 months or more ago.  It was the first time I started to rip and curl the pages.  One of my favourite things to do, I might add.  Okay here goes...don't laugh okay...LOL!! Some of you might remember it....I actually really loved it at the time, still do because its about both my gorgeous little boys....

So here is the scraplift version. Its actually untitled, only has a quote...I thought the photo just didn't need explaining...

So grunging it up a little...I dug out some Prima Craftsman papers and add a small amount of My Mind's Eye papers as well.  This layout is showcasing some of the most gorgeous new flowers Manor House have released.

"We don't remember Days
We remember Moments"

Can you see my cute little bird cage....sigh...ADORABLE...

I made this vine myself.  I had a ton of fun creating this...

Loving the effect Shimmerz has on my layouts and what it adds as well, don't think I will ever get sick of using them.

And WOW just look at that feather flower...so delicate and amazing!

So what do you reckon...can you see the similarities?? LOL!

And oh its December, its a month full of Christmas fun and happiness, it also means for us in the southern hemisphere.... the start of SUMMER!!!!! And oh how we kicked off the 1st day of summer here...nothing like spending the whole day in the pool.. swimming, relaxing and enjoying some good old family time with lots of laughs and ending the day with a yummy BBQ!

My cute little fish...oh how my boys love to swim!

Well that is about it for me today...sorry this has turned into a long post. Stay tuned, in the next few days I will share with you my December Daily....I am so excited and happy, its all coming together really well :))))

Have a wonderful and creative week and thanks for stopping by :))

I was incredibly lucky to receive in my pack of chipboard from Imaginarium Designs, the awesome Cross Hatch chipboard designed by Lou Nelson!! I think I actually squealed with delight!! There were so many gorgeous chipboard pieces to choose from, it took me a while to work out which ones I would use! LOL!

"Remember, Together, Forever"

Sigh....I am remembering our wonderful 3 weeks away at the Sunshine Coast in September.  We are so very lucky have such beautiful beaches to holiday.  I love the Sunny Coast...my favourite beach, perfect for little kids and so much to do and places to visit.

So when we got back I couldn't help but dive into my photos and some new scrappy stuff that was waiting for me.  Basic Grey Soleil range is just DEVINE!! the colours and embellishments are perfect for beach/holiday photos.  I have soooooo many photos its hard to know what to scrap as I want to scrap them all....thinking a mini album might be the answer :)))

Okay back to the layout....I saw while I was away a huge pinwheel hanging up and it inspired me to create one (12 x 12 size) on my layout. It made the perfect design for lots of hidden treasures, flowers and shells, just like you find at the beach. I am so happy with out this turned out.

The new flowers released from Manor House are just perfect in size and colours for these papers...I thoroughly enjoyed creating this layout.  See my cute little star fish...love it!

Lots and lots of texture...gesso, texture paste, Shimmerz and Shimmerz Enamelz, the photo really doesn't do it much justice.

Little felt clouds from Purple Pumpkin...super sweet.

The Cross Hatch chipboard piece has loads of gesso and Shimmerz.  I painted the Shimmerz on in big clumps and left it like that. Sort of gave it that sandy look.

So there you have it.... :))))

The Sweetest Thing....

Hello :)))

Firstly a big wave and a hello to all my "new" followers...so great to have you here and I look forward in the next couple of days finding and visiting you!

Okay its been a while since I have posted something up...to be honest and I know I have said this before but I just seem to get busier and busier as the year goes one.  I am hoping (fingers crossed) next year with them both at School and Kindy, that I will have more time to get crafty...I have a list a mile long of things that I want to do and try so here's hoping!

Well its getting so close to Christmas now, that I decided last month to make a couple of Christmas cards.  Now I am no card maker, in fact I find them quite difficult...I fuss and fiddle and no matter how I think about "its just a smaller version of a layout" I never can get them to work.  Anyway, so cards aren't my forte but I had a go.

These cards are made using some gorgeous Manor House flowers.

And next up is my latest step x step project for Manor House.  If you want to see more details on how I created this layout...go HERE.

Sigh...these flowers are so beautiful and I love how they can be easily altered to suit.

Lots and lots of paint, texture and Shimmerz on this layout.

Also, if you LOVE blog hops and love a chance to win some awesome prizes...Manor House and Imaginarium Designs have teamed up this month...Flowers and chipboard...what a gorgeous combination!

Check out all the details HERE.
My layout will be up very soon!

Thanks so much for visiting!
