Lots to share....

Hi there everyone,

Well its nearly time for us to pack the car and off we go...our beach holiday is just about here and we are all looking forward to our break away.  But before I leave I wanted to share with you all a few projects that I have done recently.

This layout was created for Manor House.  YESSSSS I have used pink on a boys layout but why not, the bright gorgeous colours really reflect their beautiful fun loving natures.  By adding in some black it really gives it a more masculine feel to it.  Papers are a mix of Pink Paislee, Sass and Hambly.

"So Loved"

Loving my fringe banners..

The layout below was created for this months challenge at Scrap for Help.  Its all about fabric this month and being in the banner mood last month I created a fabric banner with strips of fabric...I LOVE the look of this banner, will be doing that again for sure! Another layout that has pinky/purple colours, but hey my little man was wearing a purple shirt, so its all got to match...right!!!?? Using some older Sass papers, Studio Calico and Hambly.

"Precious Boy"

And lastly, a "just because" layout.  Still playing with some MME papers...I am a huge fan of MME. Had lots of fun with paints, Shimmerz products, embossing powders and TA glimmer glam.

A Moment to Treasure"

Okay I better keep going...lots of those last minute jobs still to do.  Thank so much for visiting...I will be back in about 3 or so weeks with loads of fresh inspiration to scrap!

Till next time...

Skissedilla Sketch #174

Hello to you all :)

Just quickly popping this up today as it closes very soon, running to time as per usual with things...lol! I am always keeping an eye on challenges here and there and this month I thought I would try out a new challenge (well new to me).

The Skissedilla Sketch #174, caught my eye straight away...love the white space, love the butterflies, love the circle and love the freedom to create a cool background! Awesome sketch for the creative mood I was in last week.

I have two little boys who LOVE Dinosaurs, one more so than the other, so when their grandparents gave them a talking dinosaur each, they were over the moon excited!!!

The background paper is some older Glitz paper and the the diecut behind the photo is an older Basic Grey doiley just ripped up.  I was in the mood for something simple, not too much in the way for fussy embellishments...loved the colours and how this turned out.

"Talking Dinos"

Had a little fun with this background, its a combination of Shimmerz Blingz, Embossing Powders for more of a dramatic effect, and the green masking is using some PanPastels.

Okay I better be off and get some things done, won't be long and it will be school pick up time!
Thanks for visiting and I hope to visit you all very soon :))

Oh and THANKS A MILLION for all your special words you left me on my last layout..it meant to much to me to hear from you.

Hello Spring!!

Well I am happy to see the first day of Spring! Such a beautiful time of year here in Central Queensland before it gets too hot and I am planning on making the most of it.  I have already jumped started into Spring cleaning mode and done a huge clean up of rooms from top to bottom...its such a good feeling.  Its also only a few more weeks till we have our 2 week family holiday at the Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast...oooh its getting exciting and we have already begun counting down the sleeps!

Anyway, last month I did a layout for Manor House which included a simple step x step on how I created my flower clusters and how I used the gorgeous rosette ribbon.  Details can be found HERE.

This layout is about one of my beautiful sisters.  The quote I have used "You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have", is the only way to describe what I see in her in a daily basis.  Her struggle, her loss is not a story that I will make public on the internet, but what she faces every day and the strength it takes to get through each day brings tears to my eyes and as a sister I so wish I could take her pain away.  Enough waffling.....

"Strong"

Using some new beautiful flowers from Manor House which I have misted and dabbed with Gesso.

Now on to something a little happier...a few weekends ago I did a little photo shoot of my boys...it had been so long since I did something like this and we just had an amazing time.  Now its given me the inspiration to get scrapping! Wish I could share all my photos with you but I won't bombard you with them all :))

awwww....love my boys and their black skinny jeans and boots!

We had loads of fun drawing with chalk on the road...

One thing I absolute love about where we live, is the diversity that surrounds us.  We are not only surrounded by huge coal mines, but also cattle farms, cotton farms, wheat farms, citrus farms, the Gem Fields are just out of town where you can search for precious gems, and this farm that the boys are overlooking.....a vineyard! Lots of vineyards around here too....So much beauty just in our backyard.

Such precious photos of my cute little boys...Finlay was so tired here he reckons he needed a rest!

Love those chalky pants on Riley...only happens when you have fun right!

Love love love this one...such a treasure :))

Okay I best be off and finish a layout I started the other day!

Thanks for visiting, your comments always give me a grin from ear to ear!
