Scrap Around the World - January Challenge

Hi everyone,

Today I have a project to share with you which I was created using the January Scrap Around the World Mood Board. Such a gorgeous mood board to which I was inspired by the mouldings on the tea cups...sigh..aren't they beautiful...as well as the soft beautiful flowers.

I have used more of the January Kit from Flying Unicorn (which has sold out). I created my "moulded" background using the Clear Scraps Shattered Glass mask using 13Arts Gesso, 13Arts Paint in Matte Coral & Pan Pastels, which you can find in the Flying Unicorn Store.

"39 Weeks"

These gorgeous Prima flowers and the lace have been altered using my very favourite colours from Lindy's Stamp Gang, Grab a Guy Gold and Wild Honeysuckle Coral.

Me at 39 weeks pregnant...oh how excited we all were! Hard to believe that was just over 4 months ago now...

Flying Unicorn January Kit - Canvas

Hello my crafty friends,

I am back with you today to share with you a project I created using the January Kit at Flying Unicorn, which has completely sold out!

Each month there will be an add on called Mixed Art and it will always have a canvas of some sort and lots of mixed media products.

Here is what the add on looks like...

"Family" 

I have used a combination of items from this add on as well as items from the other add ons.  Plus there is some supplies of my own.

The Lindy's Stamp Gang mists and the 13 Arts Gesso & paints are just to die for...totally fell in love with these products.  They are new to me and I was excited to have the chance to experiment.  The colours are just so rich and so different and were perfect to combine together.

Layers and layers of different mix media products and techniques used on this canvas.  Way way in the background...lol....is some Finn papers :)

Gorgeous Petaloo flowers too!

MOJO Monday at Flying Unicorn

Hi Everyone,

Each Monday the Flying Unicorn has a sketch challenge.  It was my turn this week to provide a sample and here is the gorgeous sketch provided by Alda.

"Love You Forever"

One of our 1st photos together....just hours old...I remember I kept telling Luca how much I loved him and how happy he was here safe and sound.  I love how my husband caught this moment while I was so unaware, in my own little world..just me and my baby boy.  So precious to have and I want to remember that moment forever.

Still using bits from the January Kit at Flying Unicorn.  I have used a combination of Jodie Lee & Finn papers.  Flowers are a combination of Prima and Manor House.  The Chipboard butterflies and frame behind my photo are Leaky Shed Studio which you can find heaps in the Flying Unicorn Store.

The title Chipboard is from Maya Road. And the film strip chipboard is from 2Crafty.  Lots of mixed media techniques used in this background from stamping to distress inks, Shimmerz, Lindy's Stamp Gang mists and Texture Paste as well as 13 Arts Gesso.

Flying Unicorn - Art Journal

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year to you all, hope you had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas with family and friends and your New Year has started of great.

I am very excited to share with you all today my OTP project which was included in the Flying Unicorn January Kit. As mentioned in the post below, this is a new kit format and it includes along with the add-ons lots of mixed media art, embellishments and papers that all compliment each other...it is truly what it means....Your Passion, Your Art.

Oh and how excited was I when I opened my box and found a Finnabair Art Journal.  It has always been something in the back of my mind that I wanted to created..you know just something just for me.

Here is the front cover...

I literally had the BEST time creating this and the best part was I didn't think about it (as I usually do..lol!) I just went for it and it was done within an hour!

Lot of strips of paper, negative and positive circle punch cut outs and mesh, which was also included in the kit.

 The mixed media products used on this cover include, 13 Arts Gesso, Lindy's Stamp Gang mists - Grab a Guy Gold and Wild Honeysuckle Coral, which are fast becoming my new favourite colours! As well as CLEARSNAP-Mix'd Media Inx by Donna Salaza in Wisteria and Kaisercraft Stamp which are all part of the kit and add-ons.

Also included in the kit were the gorgeous green Prima flowers, the smaller Petaloo flowers and the Metal flowers.  The scripted Prima flowers where in a previous kit.  And the chipboard is 2Crafty.

We are so excited to share and to reveal to you the changes in our Kit of the Month!

We begin with out MAIN KIT and the INCLUDED off the page project :

Not many changes to the main kit. You will get the latest and the greatest in the main kitto get your creative mojo flowing and we will always include an off the page project ( OTP) that will inspire and sometimes challenge your inspiration- but always creative fun !

We will no longer give names to our monthly kits - they mean nothing. What matters is Your Passion .Your Art !

Welcome to the Mixed Art! Our new add on kit will always come with a canvas and a variety mediums, mists, tools that compliment that main kit.

Our Mixed Passion add on kit if filled with flowers, ribbons, trinkets and more. Jam packed with embellishments that compliment the main kit.

Small Art. Big Passion is exactly what this new add on kit is filled with. Papers that are on a smaller scale that will compliment the main kit and embellishments that are scaled to compliment the main kit or to entice you to create cards, tags, atc's and so much more !
