Colour Combos Galore #183

Hello to all my lovely blog readers,

Hope you are all having a great start to your week! Gosh its early but I had a huge day yesterday and I am going to be out again today, so I thought while the rest of the house is still stilling I will catch up on some computer time!

Last Friday revealed another GORGEOUS colour combo at Colour Combos Galore.

Summer Look - The designer challenge was to be inspired by the gorgeous butterfly dress and add butterflies to your page.  Well if you haven't guessed by now, butterflies is something I nearly put on every page, so with a little squeal of delight, I created this. I was loosely inspired by the things hanging down from the ceiling, to the left of the dress, which gave me the idea of my running paint splatters under my big butterfly.

I used a piece of this....Hambly overlay but mine was in white.  Cut out the big butterfly and traced on to black cardstock. There is also a teeny button from Purple Pumpkin in there too.

So there you have it....

The moment has arrived....

where I am thrilled beyond words to tell you I am now part of the Purple Pumpkin's Design Team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Head on over HERE to check out the announcement. 

I was so humbled when I read how many applicants applied and little ol' me was narrowed down!! Thank you Sam for this wonderful opportunity and HUGE CONGRATS to all the other lucky ladies and the Guest Design Team.  I am looking forward to working alongside of you all and hopefully be somewhat inspiring.  My official term doesn't start till next month (April).

Well I have been scrapping, nothing to show at the moment tho...I do like to get my team commitments out of the road first.  Hopefully I will have them finished this week and after that, I will be getting stuck in to some challenges.

TCR Palette #47

Hello everyone,

Well its looking like another wet day here today, its very overcast with heavy looking clouds about.  Yesterday the boys had fun out in the rain and mud!!?? I am sure they will be back out there again today!! During the week I managed to complete a layout for The Colour Room.

One cool dude... I have had this photo of Finlay for ages!! He went thru a stage where he loved to wear daddy's hats but they always went on backwards!

White with PINK!!

White with 1 challenge for March is WHITE with PINK....BRIGHT PINK!!!! Also you need to use Artisan Elements...think Jenny Bowlin labels etc etc.  Go HERE to check out more details and the CT's AMAZING layouts!!!

Now when I saw the challenge I thought...WHAT!!!!??? What am I going to do but Pink is perfect for scrapping photos of boys with their mothers or grandmothers etc.  This photo is of Finlay and his Nana..

Love you.... a very minimalist layout...but I am loving that at the moment.. :))

Thanks for all your birthday wishes for Riley.  He sure did have a good day, a busy day with lots of phone calls and he loved opening more of his presents and spending the afternoon with this big cousin! Daddy even surprised him coming home for the night after his shift finished...but he has to go back out today :(

It looks like a wet day here for us...it rained all night. Ahhhhh...perfect scrapping weather!!!

Here is my take on the challenge.  Photo taken while holidaying in Yeppoon over New Year.

On a personal note....I have a big 4 year old today!!! Happy birthday my little man...we are off to the park for the morning.  Here are a few photos I took on Sunday. I am so happy with how they turned out, normally I can't get Riley to look at the camera! I got a little teary yesterday thinking of this time 4 years ago...where does the time go hey!

Ready for the new Challenges??

Well another months bites the dust and a new one has started!!!! Oh I love the start of a new month..it really kick starts the creative juices doesn't it!  Well the 1st of March kick starts my 6 month term at Stuck?! Sketches.  The sketch is just FABULOUS!!!! You must try it!!!
