Just because....

I felt like scrapping and because I really need to scrap these birthday photos...!!! Don't know why but I always find it hard to scrap birthday photos!!!! is it because I am always trying to find that "perfect"paper or embellies to go with it.... I don't know but I know that I wanted to scrap to "no criteria"or sketch...just my own way.

Here is Finlay's 1st Birthday...used up heaps of scrappy stuff I have had for ages (man that feels good). Again I used black cardstock *shock* but I felt it needed it to make it pop!! Left my little chippie raw...cause I love raw chipboard. There is a Purple Pumpkin felt flower in there too!

Riley's 3rd birthday...I really wanted to use the new October Afternoon seaside collection for this as the colours matched in perfectly. The little denim heart is from a swap and there is a Purple Pumpkin button in there too! So cute!!

I have a few more birthday photos I would like to scrap so hopefully I will get them done soon too....but in the mean time my housework is calling me....groan...

Monday again....!!!

Hello everyone,



Well where did that weekend go???!!! Well all I know was that Friday afternoon I was looking forward to a quiet weekend, thinking of all the jobs that I was going to get Brad to do...hehe...but bam out of nowhere, it became a jam packed weekend full of socialising!!! A good one tho...love those unplanned weekends, they end up being the best weekends!!



Anyway on the some scrappy stuff. I decided to sit down last week and play with the POTM at Bons. The chosen paper is this one....Basic Grey Jovial - Blizzard! Loved it!

Here is my LO...

Just using up some bits and pieces...some spotty fabric, echo park, basic grey doiley, Sass Lass, oh and my love for Prima flowers...see that cute little loin...that is a sticker from one of the boys sticker books! Love raiding them every now and then!

Its super HOT here today... but we are powering thru the heat! I am having a scrapping morning with my sister tomorrow...oh so much fun...I have always wanted to be able to do that!! Can't WAIT!!!! She is coming to raid my stash, but I do not mind one bit!!!

How cute....

is this room, perfect if you had a little bubby boy to scrap about....!!!! It was the chosen room of the month at Bons.

I took inspiration in the colours of course and the striped wall paper. Here it is..

Well its starting out to be a beautiful sunny day, no doubt going to get hot......just the usual Saturday here, although we have a send off dinner tonight for some friends of ours leaving town.

Just two

layouts to share with you today....Both being for STB challenges.



First challenge for the month was "trick or treat". Riley thinks its always such a treat when he is allowed to "read" daddy's car magazines!!! Don't usually scrap with black cardstock so it looks weird seeing me use it...its funny I did this one at the start of the month and now I don't even like it...oh well....



So much fun....


Second challenge was "fabric". The black and white dot is my fabric.

This is...

really a 'nothing' post but I want to record a little something Riley said to me yesterday. I was lying down on the chair, just doing some thinking and he came up to me and said "Don't worry mummy...I will be your friend!" I must have looked really lonely or something hehe!!...but it was so cute I wanted to remember it. He really does come out with some funny little things like the other day he was playing outside and he came in and said...."Mummy I miss you so much"!!!

Anyway, I have heaps to share, but not today :( have so much going on personally at the moment that computer time is at the bottom of my list. Tomorrow I will have something I promise!!

We are all women who have mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, nieces, daughters, girlfriends, some which have had this disease, some have fought it and survived, some have lost it...I think as women, its always in the back of our minds. Felicity and I both have lost grandmothers to Breast Cancer. Back then there wasn’t the awareness of Breast Cancer that there is now, so this month Felicity and I have put together SIX very GORGEOUS PINK RAK’S to help support this cause!!!!!

Something different...

This month I decided I wanted to broaden my horizons and try some different challenges...so after a little blog hopping I remembered a while ago I had signed up to the challenge site "Out of the Hat" but never had a chance to complete on of their challenges. Yesterday I sat down and did my first challenge and LOVE it!!

Its been a while...

since I have done a Stuck?! Sketch!...so this month I was determined that it was one of the first challenges I did. Here is my take on the fantastic sketch!

My little boy is not normally shy but on this particular day he just got all shy and wouldn't look when I was taking the photo!!! Love the photo tho!

A big thank you to you all for being so kind in leaving lovely birthday wishes to Finlay. He sure did have a good day and many more good days ahead...birthday party this weekend!! I will pop up some pics soon but in the mean time I couldn't resist scrapping this photo of Finlay just taken a few weeks after he turned 1 for the October's 123 Challenge.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY...

to my little baby boy!!!! Where has the last 2 years gone!!??

This time 2 years ago I was patiently waiting for you, wondering what you would look like, wondered if you were a boy or girl, dying to hold you in my arms. I didn't imagine that in 4hrs time I would know all this but still unable to hold you. You came so quickly that you weren't breathing and because of this, and you were born with lots of fluid on the chest, you spent the next 24hrs in special care. That was one of the hardest moments for us all..we had doctors taking you away for xrays, tests etc etc and then you were sent down to special care to spend the night so your breathing could be monitored. Oh how I longed to hold you in my arms just for one little moment. It was such a relief to know that nothing was wrong and soon you were back in my arms.

You have been a fantastic little boy! You were very content and happy always wanting to play outside and read books, you were and still are a great night sleeper...which was a relief to me!

Here are a few photos of Finlay from over the last 2yrs.

We are having a little party for him this coming weekend but today he has a little friend coming over for a play. The sun is out, he is happy...the day should be good!
