Hello my dear friends :))
School holidays here at the moment, which we are just loving, even tho the weather is cool and damp. We have already had one lot of visitors come and go and next week the boys grandparents arrive for the week! So lots happening here...and yesterday I was iching to be creative!
So I went searching for a challenge and found a perfect one for me at Glitz.
I love Glitz papers and they are one company that never fail me...I have never been dissapointed in any of their collections. On this layout, the background paper is from an older collection...can't remember the name and I have also used some transparency up the top and the card behind the photo is also from Glitz. I had soooooo much fun (can you tell) with some Shimmerz products and I pulled out some washi tape again and some Hambly transparency! Sad to hear they are closing, so glad I did a big stock up recently.
Timeless....such a gorgeous photo of my two little cuties taken December 2011, you will probably see more of these scrapped soon. Can you believe I didn't use any flowers (gasp!!!!!!)...I wanted to do something really different and I LOVE it...:)))
Some closeups...
Yeah I had a lot of fun and I plan to do it all over again today...
Thanks so much for visiting...your comments mean the world to me :))

Just have to share this quote that I read on Nadia's blog (hope you don't mind Nadia)....it came at the right time for me....
"Someone will always be prettier.
They will always be smarter.
They will have more money in their checking account. Their house will be bigger.
They will drive a better car.
Their children will do better in school.
And their husband will fix more things around the house.
So let it go,
and love you and your circumstances....Think about it.
The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart.
and the most highly favored
woman on your job may be unable to have children.
And the richest woman you know,
she's got the car, the house, the clothes....might be lonely.
And the world says "If I have not Love, I am nothing."
So, again, love you.Love who you are.
Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say 'I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed!'
'Winners make things happen.Losers let things happen.' "

Have a wonderful week :)

Catching Up....
Hi everyone,
Just quickly popping up a few projects.
First one is an altered jar I did for Manor House Creations to which I also did a tutorial (see blog if you are interested).
I am in love with glass jars at the moment...seeing all different kinds of jars on Pinterest and how gorgeous they look as unique decorative pieces for the home. So using some different Shimmerz products, Manor House Creations flowers, Dusty Attic chipboard and some chain I created this....
ALSO.....
And this little boy watched and cheered like a little trouper...it was great to be out and watching the big kids!..

This month its all about METAL....see full challenge details HERE on the blog.
And seeing as tho I have been seeing so much Finn inspiration lately since her visit to Australia...I couldn't help but get my "Finn" on and create this layout....I must say, I had no clue what I was doing, I just went for it!! And it turned out so much better than I imagined. Thanks to everyone for their inspiration..!!
Unique... I am actually using some of Finn's papers from 7 Dots...had them for a while now but only finally having the courage to use them!! There are so many different products used on this layout, I am not going to list them all but my METAL is the round metal washers that my DH loves to leave lying around the place....I now have a heap in my scrap area!!
And to finish off this post...so sorry this has turned out to be a long one...
Riley had his 1st Sports Day yesterday and Brad and I had such a huge proud Daddy and Mummy moment. Riley came first in his race!!! He listened to his Daddy, kept his eyes on the finished line and ran like the wind! The rest of the day was made up of fun activities, ball games and relay races..he had a great day and it was so fun to watch!
(He is the one in the red shirt)
And this little boy watched and cheered like a little trouper...it was great to be out and watching the big kids!..
Okay busy weekend here...I have organised to catch up with a lot of friends this weekend...having them over for meals, so I best keep going and get the weekend started and organised.
Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend :))

HBS Guest Work
Happy 1st Day of June :)))
Well its a miserable day today, wet and cool so I thought I would take a moment and update this little ol' blog of mine with some of my recent Guest Designer work for Handmade By Suzanne, which was last month!.
I was sent some papers and embellishments from the Echo Park Note to Self range. Here is more of my work.
Favourites at 3... went a bit wild on the Prima didn't I!!...hehe
Some Dusty Attic chipboard...the compass and the barbed wire.
This is my Life... As soon as I saw the sticker sheet with these tabs stickers I knew instantly that I wanted to create and journal of sorts for myself that has been on my 'to do' list for a while. So I went a little mixed media with this one. Just placed scrapes of paper down, rubbed over some gesso and played with some Shimmerz and those cute micro beads that I was sent. I have sealed those micro beads with some Modge Podge.
And some cards....
Thanks so much Suzanne and the DT girls at HBS for having me :))

So excited and honoured to be asked to be featured at the booth. Wish I was going...maybe next year.
Okay well I best get some more stuff done. It was meant to be Riley's first Sports Day today but it got cancelled because of the huge amount of rain last night. So its on for next Friday which is even better because it means that his Daddy will be able to come and watch him!! :))
