Yesterday....

I did this LO. Its was for a scraplift challenge at Bon's CC. Extra criteria was at least 2 butterflies, 2 sentences of journaling & to use some sort of haberdashery.


Then the boys and I made these.....Riley loved cutting out all the gingerbread men and topping them with a smartie. They are far from perfect but Riley pretty much did it all, we all had heaps of fun! He was so proud of his baking!!

On the weekend

I did these two pages....

Both are for the CC at Bons Scraps.

Using Felicity's sketch. Extra criteria - 2 photos, stamping with glimmermist (on background paper) and 2 strips of paper away from the photo.

Bons colour challenge....green, light blue, cream, black and white. Extra criteria, spots (more than one), knots (more than one) and the quote "This story means the world to me."

And a quick snap I took of these two munchkins sitting outside the sliding door having afternoon tea!!

June Sketch

at Bons was this.....

Here is my take on the sketch. Extra criteria had to include something GREEN, decorative brads, and numbers in the title.

This is a gorgeous photo taken by Felicity Wilson when we were in Emerald over the Easter holidays. Finlay had just turned 18months.

Well I have a big day planned. My dad and mum are coming very shortly for the day to help us do a few things. Dad is helping Brad do a some little fix up jobs to the house and Mum and I will attempt to pack a few boxes.

This story....

means the world to me....

My entry for the Kraft It Up challenge for June. The criteria this month was we had to create a MINIMALIST layout, think white space or simple no fuss pages...

Here is my take. I certainly found this challenge a 'challenge'! I don't to minimal very well but I do like what I came up with. What do you reckon??

I used corrugated card which I painted and then stamped it onto the Kraft and cut a round doiley in half, added a flower, stamped a title and whallaaa!!

Well I had an amazing afternoon yesterday at the Brisbane Scrapbooking and Papercraft Expo!! I meet so many wonderful, inspiring, talented ladies. I met up with a couple of Bon's girls, Giovanna (Gigi) Scott & Crystal Bowman. We hung around Louise Nelson who was Guest Designer at Bon's last month, check out her blog, she is full of talent! I met this month's Guest Designer at Bon's, Lynette Van Barrelo who was also one of last years Masters, Kat Glossop, Renee Dowling, Tatum Woodroffe and her sister Lauren and the two girls from SBM, Kristy Evans and Sherry Mendozza. Plus I got myself a few goodies!!! Feeling very inspired to scrap, so hoping to do some today.

Oh and I did scrap over the weekend, so I might get these up today too.

BIG NEWS!!!

Well hello everyone, its been a while since I have blogged but I have a very good reason for it! I am in the midst of MOVING!!!!! Yep, Brad accepted a position with an electrical firm in Emerald last week, for a position in a mine just north of Emerald, although we will be living in the township itself. We are so excited about this opportunity and I am so looking forward to spending lots of time with my sister and nephew, I know the boys will love seeing Brandon heaps, not too mention being just around the corner from my very good friend Felicity Wilson. Flis....looking forward to many great times together!! So there is now lots to do and think about. Brad is off to Emerald very soon and the boys and I will follow up shortly after. So at the moment Brad is on holidays, hence my lack in blogging as we are trying to organise and get a fair amount of stuff done before he leaves. But I have managed to scrap a little over the last couple of weeks.

I will share a couple with you today.

Bons ROTM was just gorgeous this month.

My take on this room. I took lots of inspiration from colours and patterns in the room and I used a busy pattern paper as a background as I found the room to me quite "busy"...does that make sense??!! Not very often do I use pattern paper as a background but I quite like this one. This is of Finlay when he was alot younger (around the age where everything goes in the mouth!!! hehehe)....he use to sit in the sandpit and just stuff sand in his mouth!!! eeewww!!!

A just 'because' layout. I have been sorting through my scrap stuff and have had a huge clean out and found this gorgeous photo. So I just sat down and HAD to scrap it! Again I have used PP as a background...hmmmm I think I am liking this look!!!

Hope you are having a great week...I have two sick boys at the moment. Finlay has bronchitis and Riley now has a middle ear infection!!!! So both of them are on antibiotics but in saying that, it hasn't stopped them from being their mischievous selves!!!
