I have been wanting to use one of their sketches for ages now and finally decided last week to give one a go.

My take:
Looking forward to tomorrow.....new month means new challenges, lets hope I have a better month scrapping wise, and also because its the first day of SPRING!!!!!!

Another....

Scrap the Boys entry for 15th August challenge! I am having fun playing along with all their challenges. This time we had to use RIBBON and/or the sketch provided. Well I have loads and loads of ribbon as I am sure most of you all do but don't use it as much as I should. Sometimes ribbon and I have lots of fights and in the end I either don't use it or just use it the same ol' way! This time I tried the ribbon curl as I wanted to scrap about my gorgeous little boy and his curls.


I always knew Finlay would have curly hair, right from a tiny baby he had these little curls and more so after he had baths and especially in the humid summer weather. This is not surprising as apparently I had curls when I was born and well if you see all the people on my mothers side with curly hair (including my mum) their are lots of relatives with curly/wavy hair!! It took me ages to finally give him a haircut, in case his curls wouldn't grow back, but they have and I love his little blonde curls, they are so HIM! I wonder how long he will keep them!!??

Well its been raining all morning and we have baked, and baked some more and cleaned and ironed (sigh) and had a play in the mud (??!!!) so now I am going to look at doing the CC challenges from Bons. Its perfect weather for scrapping while the boys are asleep.

Cards

I know before you fall off your chairs....yes I have made some cards this week!!!!! Shock horror but some of you know that I am not a huge card maker, don't know why, to tell you the truth I found them daunting to make!!!!!!! I know you are all giggling now, probably wondering why I feel like that but I have decided to help me feel better , I need to do more card making....so here are a few to share.

First up I have been dying to play along at this blog of a good friend of mine for ages now and last week I really needed to make Brad's grandma a birthday card so I thought I would try out her awesome monthly sketch. Go on over and check it out and check out all the other entries too...a fantastic prize up for grabs!! Got to be in it to win it hey!!

Its less than....

Close up of the words. I have had this little poem for ages, since Riley was a baby infact, so its an oldie, but I have always wanted to use it cause there are some days I just feel I need to do this as life is slipping away so quickly.

Scrap the Boys

challenge for the 1st August was to scrap with a flower or if we couldn't do that scrap about the feminine side of our boy. I chose to do both. Flowers are never hard to scrap with.

Riley is a real boy always on the go, never stops and loves being outside and making a mess with everything. BUT he has the sweetest side to him. He is always looking for cuddles, always ready for kisses and just loves his little brother to pieces. Loves him so much that he is scared that one day Finlay is going to go down the plug hole in the bath tub when the water gets emptied!!! lol!!! He gets most upset when the water is emptied and not everything is out of the bath tub including his brother!!!

Still trying to find my way back into scrapping since moving...I think I like this one.!

Yesterday....

I received this gorgeous bunch of flowers from Brad's new boss & the rest of the team, welcoming ME to Emerald! How sweet is that!

I have a sick little boy with Croup today, so we have already had our first trip to the hospital early hours this morning!

HELLO...

from the bush!!! lol!!

Just a quick one letting you all know that I am still around, trying to get everything unpacked and working on getting back into our family routine!

I have been scrapping have a few things to share but not today. Just procrastinating, do you ever do that...?? so I better get off here and get them finished!

AUGUST CHALLENGE AT KIU

So are you ready for a new challenge.......

This month your KIU challenge is a COLOUR challenge...

You need to create a layout using Kraft and the following colours ~

GREEN
YELLOW
BLACK

There is no restriction on what colours must dominate nor the exact shade of each, we are leaving that up to you!


Here is my example. I used yellow paint with green glimmermist to create the background on this one.
