WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Yep I am the lucky last one to be added to the KRAFT IT UP Creative Team! Not only is it my favourite challenge blog but it has alot of my favourite scrappers on the Creative Team. Check out my LO's I created for the application.




Stayed tuned, the next couple of days I will be revealing the LO I created for the August Challenge!

But now I must get back to my husband! He has just returned after 6 weeks of being away!! I will add some photos early next week of our trip to the airport.

Saying Goodbye

is always hard. I have been busy lately catching up with alot of girlfriends and family to say goodbye, not knowing when the next time I will get to see them and its always hard, but today the boys and I felt it hard to say goodbye to this lovely lady. She has been looking after my boys each Friday for the last 16months! Finlay was only 5 months old when I first took them to her and she has done more for me and my boys that words can express. I am so ever thankful for her care, her guidance, her love for my boys, teaching them and showing them just the simplest things in life. I think she found it just as hard to say goodbye to them as well.

I had one of these cute Kaiser handbag things in my stash and as I cleaning up and sorting out, Riley and I decided that we would make it up for her. Riley helped me paint it and added some bling and stuff to it. Since this photo I added a stamp to the front. The lovely Ali Edwards one that says "you make my day so much brighter. Thank You" I am not an expert on OTP stuff so I left it pretty simple.

Well I best get off to bed. Only a few more hours till we go and pick Brad up from the airport! So excited!

REMEMBER....

LIFE MAY LEAD YOU WHERE YOU LEAST EXPECT, BUT HAVE FAITH THAT YOU ARE EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE MEANT TO BE!

Just wanted to share this quote I found in a book while I was packing up. I have been mulling over it for the last few days. While I never in my wildest dreams imagined moving to Emerald, never thought I would move from the city, never pictured myself living just around the corner from my sister, be in a place so far away from both sets of family...this quote has helped me feel 'okay' about this move. All things happen for a reason. We are meant to be where we are for a reason.

ONE week today my lovely house will be empty...all my precious possessions will be on a train on its way to Emerald. I am not sure if you get sentimental about things or allow yourself to get attached to things but I DO! This house, while its not my dream house nor a perfect house, its been the house where we bought two beautiful little bundles home from the hospital, many milestones have been made by these two little boys in this house...their 'firsts' in everything and where I had a 'first' of experiencing the joy of being a mother....so today I am sad to think that soon I will have to say goodbye to this house, a place where I have had so many happy memories but I know that as long as we are together, we can all make a new set of memories in a new place.

Phew.....that was a bit heartfelt hey! Well I have finally packed up the last of all my scrap stuff, so nothing new to show today. Its been raining off and on all day which has been great for the gardens.

2 MORE SLEEPS TILL BRAD COMES HOME!!! YIPEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Class Page

Hello there everyone,

Nic Pomeroy hosted her first online class at Bon's last Tuesday night and showed us how to create a shabby chic page. I LOVE her scrapping style so I really wanted to give this class a go.

I hope the sun comes out today...the last few days have been very overcast with rain periods!! Makes it difficult to get motivated to do anything I find!

CC Challenges

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Hope you have all had a great week! Mine has certainly been a busy one, but its one week closer till I see Brad and one week closer till I move!!! I can't wait!!

Anyway, here are the 3 challenges I worked on the other day. All are for Bon's CC which is still happening until Tuesday next week.

Scraplift challenge with extra criteria...paint technique (I love this) and we had to chose 3 elements from Mal's LO to lift. I have lots but I love the tearing and stapling, tab on the side and part of the title on the photo.

Sketch challenge from Charm. We had to a LO which is was a not a 12 x 12! I have never done anything other than a 12 x 12 and I can honestly say I LOVED doing something different!! This size is a 12 x 8 (roughly). They are so quick and easy, I can see myself doing more of them. Extra criteria was use "&" in the title, circles or spots (but not dotty paper) & a tab.

Bon's fabulous colour challenge. Black, white, red & cream. Extra criteria use this saying...."this day. this moment. this life. this story", more than 1 flower and finger painting and something going off the page. I used a tab.

Biker Buds

On Monday night Charm hosted a class at Scrapbooking Top 50! I love Charm's classes and her style so I couldn't resist having a go. This is my take on the awesome class. I had heaps of fun picking out a quirky font for my title.

Well off to do some more scrapping! Bon's had their CC last night, so I am going to start on those challenges.

Scrap the Boys

Hi everyone,

Well with another awesome challenge at STB (2 per month), I had to give it a go. Are you like me and have heaps of stamps but don't really use them?? For some reason, I just don't reach for them as much as I should.

Just recently I have started making my own stamps by using various objects to create a fantastic effect. On this LO I have scrunched up an old scrap piece of paper, painted it and then stamped it onto my Kraft cardstock. Plus I have used one of Ali Edwards stamps for the title.

TCR #14

I just had to do these colours this week!! I totally adore the mix of these colours.

The boys are really missing their daddy and its something they talk about every day, so I wanted to record these feelings (before I forgot) and what they did "while daddy was gone". These words are somewhat of what Riley talks about, I just put them in sentence form. Its been 4 weeks since they saw their daddy and it will be another 2 weeks before they see him again. I am working on a LO of Finlay along these lines, so stay tuned!!

I have done so much packing this week that tomorrow I am spending the day with my mum SHOPPING (child free!!!!)!!!!

Just a couple...

to share. I haven't been sleeping well at night, can never get to sleep until after midnight, I think my mind is thinking of everything I need to do (sigh), so I have been spending my nights scrapping!! What else hey! hehe!!

So I have completed another couple of challenges.

July 123 Challenge was:

Dominant Colour: RED
Word: PASSION
Technique: GRUNGE

I spent ages on this one...not cause I didn't know what I wanted to do but it just took a long time to dry in between coats. Lots of gesso, paint, mist and baby wipes used here! Loved it and loved how it came out.

Well this one isn't really a challenge, its using the Paper of the Month at Bons. The yummy October Afternoon - great find. Just perfect for my little boys...have another one in my stash to use with a picture of Finlay.

I have the house 1/2 packed up. The breakables etc are being packed by the removalist so that is a big help. Well best get going and get some more done.

Kraft It Up

Hello sweet people!

Just popping up a LO I completed for the July challenge at Kraft It Up. The challenge this month was to use Kraft (obviousily) and then use between 4-6 photos. Guess what happens when you are cleaning out things and packing up!! You find a couple of old film rolls! I know you could probably still use them but me being me, thought how wonderful they would be on my LO's! Love how this one came out.

July Monthly Challenges

Hello everyone,

How was your weekend?? Well I have survived 3 weeks without Brad...another 3 weeks to go. Hopefully this week we will hear if we have a house to go to in Emerald (fingers crossed). Once we hear about that, it will be all systems go!!!

The boys spent a lot of time on Saturday outside in the glorious sunshine while I did a little housework (sigh), washing etc and scrapping!!!

Anyway, I thought I would share a little of the scrapping I did last week. I have managed to complete all the monthly challenges at Bons, which is a bonus!

First up is the July Sketch provided by Nic Pomeroy. Extra criteria....AQUA, PRE-COVERED CHIPBOARD and a SPEECH BUBBLE. Here is the sketch.

Here is my take. Riley is just at that age where he is always full of questions....he is always asking me..."whatch ya doing mummy??" So cute!

July's ROTM (room of the month). A very gorgeous girly room isn't it! So I put on my boy goggles and loved the design of the room. I took inspiration from the spotted sheets, the folded sheet on the bed and the bookcase above the bed.

So here is my take...scrapping Mothers Day pics. I have been doing heaps of cleaning out of my scrap stuff and came across this Kaisercraft felt piece that has been around for ages...so I decided to challenge myself in using it up...not sure if I "love" it in this LO...but moving right along hey!

July's Write Now challenge provide by Skye Johnston. We had to write our journalling as a fairy tale or story!! Extra criteria was BLING, SPOTS and TORN EDGES. I had so much fun doing this one...

Scrap the Boys!!

is BACK!!! Being a mother of two boys that challenge site suits me perfectly...go here to check out all the new challenge details. I totally loved this challenge and couldn't wait to dive in and get started....my biggest dilemma....which boy to scrap about..hehehe!!.

The idea was that we had to capture the vital information of our boy right now, use one of those “nothing photos” (you know that photo you love but does not have a story or event attached to it) and record your boy’s vital statistics right now making sure you add in some quirky facts about them.

This time I decided to scrap about Finlay and what is is up to RIGHT NOW! I took this photo last week....so cute!!






They are just a few random fact about Riley at 21 months! Now I am looking forward to the next challenge at STB.

Look what I made....

One Month.....

till I move.....one month till we are a family again. Oh how we are missing Brad!! But we are all getting on fine. Riley is having a little holiday with my dad and mum while his cousin is down on school holidays, so its just me and Finlay at home....and we are busy packing and sorting and just chilling!

On Monday this was the way the boys were helping me pack!

Until someone got hurt....then the fun was over!! hehehe!!!

And a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY, to these two very special and beautiful sisters of mine!!! Have a fantastic day, thinking of you heaps and love you lots. We are all catching up next week, Fiona is flying down to pick up Brandon. Anita, Leonie and Sonia as well as Mum are coming to Brisbane for the day, so we planning on having a very girly day....can't wait!!! (yes I have four sisters!!!!!)

Do you know who is older by 12 minutes????!!
